Maybe the fact that you can get a good, strong cup of espresso basically anywhere for like a $1.25. It's an unbelievable feature of Miami.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
The Miami Beach Botanical Gardens specifically in the corner with the rainbow eucalyptus and the Ylang Ylang tree. I am a person who thinks a lot in black and white. I'm very strict and disciplined. When I saw that tree, that has all those colors in the bark, I realized for the first time that bark can be different colors. At that same time, I was doing a program for small business owners and they said, you have to learn to live in the gray, and need to be flexible. So, maybe this was my inspiration to start living my life in colors and not to be so rigid about everything.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
I feel like a lot of people come to Miami and they go to the beach, and they go and do all the city things. But less than two hours away, they can access the Everglades, which is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. I typically love to drive down Tamiami Trail. On the drive itself, you see so many different changes in terrain. You start with the big plains of saw grass and then you get hammocks and swamp ground. And it just changes as you go. It's known as the Amazon of North America. And that is what it is. It can be terrifying. There's a trail that goes on for miles and miles and miles. You're walking through and there's water on the sides, you'll see hawks and birds. There will be Gators, but you only have your walking stick and make sure you're tapping to get them away. I get through it, but it it's hard for me sometimes it's terrifying.

Shark valley. It's amazing and you can ride your bike and see all these alligators and it's super easy, beautiful and it's not that far. Biking down old cutler bike path is also beautiful.

It's hard to say a best kept secret, but we enjoy visiting the Coconut Grove Sailing Club when we can. Also, we visit a lot of the local parks. We just went camping in the Everglades and it was a very unique experience, family friendly, and we had a lot of fun. We went to Flamingo Natures Center.

There's a little spot right by our house, it's a little hidden park off Chapman Field, that you can sneak through the mangroves and when it's low tide, there's a secret beach. We go there with our dog and our daughter all the time.

That's interesting. I've read all of these interviews, I should be prepared for these questions. The coral reefs off shore. You can go anywhere from Broward County through the Keys, and there'll be a reef. You can dive off of Miami Beach, right off 5th Street beach. Put on a scuba tank and go out a couple hundred yards and you're in a wonder world.
