For us, having the Grove and South Miami near us is just a delight. Bike rides to dinner, the market, or the movies, is just simple fun!

What's Miami's best kept secret?
The agriculture - hands down. We have an amazing variety of stuff that grows down here. I don't know of any area in the world that has as much variety and exotics and tropicals and staples. I'm surprised it isn't more well known.

I don't know if it's a secret, but I love South Point Park. There's something about going to the dog park there. We have two dogs - one that we rescued from the street and one was abandoned at a dog groomer. We love walking along the beach and along the boardwalk during sunset. There's people that play the trumpet out there and yogis doing acro-yoga. It's such a serene vibe and now that the weather's nice, it's my favorite thing to do in Miami.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
Miami's got a lot of secrets; they reveal themselves every day. We have an old canoe in our yard, that's been in the family for 60 years. We recently got it back on the car and took it to Chapman Field. There's some mangrove trails back there that lead into Biscayne Bay. The water's fairly clear and you see all kinds of fish and birds, and then it opens up onto a beautiful view of the bay. It's easy access and there's a dog park and then you can go canoeing. So, you can get a lot done. It's quite a place.

open the gates) there is a kayak ramp. If you continue past the ramp, there is a walking path that goes to a dog park. If you keep going past the park, through the animal trails, you can get access to the bay. There are cool trails, tree forts and things back in the mud. I go there a couple times a year with my dog. You can actually catch bonefish there.

We love going out to Key Biscayne to Salt. It's a hole in the wall at a bar called Wetlab, at Rosenstiel (Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science) About once a month, on Friday nights, they have a band there called Tall Boy. If you get really lucky, the moon's coming up over the channel, you're right on Virginia Key in between Key Biscayne and Virginia Key. There's marine biology students there, professors and locals. And it is probably the best kept secret in town in terms of a happy hour with really high quality food.
