What's Miami's best kept secret?
The Miami Beach Botanical Gardens specifically in the corner with the rainbow eucalyptus and the Ylang Ylang tree. I am a person who thinks a lot in black and white. I'm very strict and disciplined. When I saw that tree, that has all those colors in the bark, I realized for the first time that bark can be different colors. At that same time, I was doing a program for small business owners and they said, you have to learn to live in the gray, and need to be flexible. So, maybe this was my inspiration to start living my life in colors and not to be so rigid about everything.

Frice's Ice Cream. No one has been able to capture the essence of our fruits in ice cream the way they do. Everything that they've made from Mamey, Canistel, Jackfruit, to Golden Milk with our Turmeric has been amazing. It's such a treat to have them at the market and now at our store too!

Objectively, I think you guys are probably it. I made a list of 60 restaurants for Miami's newcomers. You guys are on that list and I'm telling people on the beach, that they should rent a car if needed to get to your stand. I want to get a smoothie of yours for the venture capitalists moving here and see their reaction when you say these fruits were grown 30 minutes away.

One of our GM's, Mary Smith, is a comedian. Whenever she performs it’s always a fun time. Sometimes it's hard to work with her though, because right in the middle of something serious - she'll make you crack up.  I guess everyone needs that but we never stop laughing when she’s around.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
There’s a little park - kind of an unofficial dog park, and a lot of people don't know it's there - off of Schoolhouse road and Hammocks drive, off 88th. It’s this little oasis in the middle of suburbia, with dandelions and a trail. Some people get put off because they added a gate, but it's still open. It reminds me of the English countryside, the way the kids can run with the dogs. If you walk through the trails, you can get to Matheson Hammock.

For me, it's definitely, Coconut Grove. It's such an amazing tropical place. You don't really see that type of town, it's got so much character. And driving down Old Cutler is so beautiful. If I could live anywhere in Miami, it would definitely be the Grove.
