Maybe the fact that you can get a good, strong cup of espresso basically anywhere for like a $1.25. It's an unbelievable feature of Miami.

You can eat all the mangos you want without buying them, if you’re willing to go for a walk through the residential areas during mango season.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
I feel like with social media there's no good secrets anymore. Somebody finds something that you love and next thing you know, it's on Instagram or Twitter or Facebook and it's packed.

My mom took me yesterday to a place in Virginia Key that I had never been to. It was a really thick spot; it was a beautiful spot. You take the path up the center, it takes you right to the end. There's little Tiki huts lining the shore. You have the mangroves and everything there. If you walk up the shoreline to the north, you can see the whole city.

John Pennekamp Park offers kayak rentals and you can go through the lagoons area. They have various levels and it is not expensive. We recently went with family visiting from out of town and it was so fun. The water is crystal clear and it’s a wonderful experience.

On the ocean, it’s the boat wrecks in the bay and large county wrecks further out. They are filled with fish and most people don't get to ever see them. Check out some of the lists online. You will need to know the coordinates to get there. In Agriculture, the best secret are the people you meet in homestead. There are these guys who spend most of their lives on their farms and don't really have a public presence. They are talented growers who specialize in niche markets. I have gotten to meet them through my dad.

I would say you guys would definitely be on that list. Fairchild is amazing, exploring the natural parks too like the Gumbo Limbo trail in Everglades National Park, Shark Valley, going down to the keys, Bill Bags State Park, Virginia Key... I'm an outdoorsy person, so those are my favorite places to go.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
The German place that has all the sausages and cheese by Daily Bread. The owners are a German couple, I love them. We go there and buy their cheese and they have wine and lots of German products.
