Claudia & Mike
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We love the Primavera Risotto from A Pizza Brooklyn (their Tiramisu is also on point), Shrimp tacos from The Brick Restaurant and from Whisk the fried green tomatoes, pork burrito and crab fried rice!
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Yeah. Before COVID we would go to Chef Adrianne's and Cracked, which is another one of her restaurants. Apizza Brooklyn is one of our favorites as well. We would go to the Brick every week before COVID. We really don't go out very much, especially with the baby now. I can't wait to go back to the restaurants and eating food the way that it was supposed to be plated.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?I'm always looking through your newsletters for places. I've found a bunch of restaurants, that I didn't know about, that were really interesting, and I've tried everybody's suggestions!
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We've gone to the Last Carrot a few times in the Grove. We order from Mi Italia. We've ordered from A Pizza Brooklyn. Of course, you guys. One of my favorite coffee places was a Brewing Buddha, but unfortunately they closed and don't even have takeout. We've gone to Wayside Market a few times. We've gone to Lokal to order and truthfully to walk around the Grove with a beer in hand. They have a window where you can can get a draft beer and burgers for takeout. Last week we went by and walked around the Grove, which is a bit apocalyptic with nobody around on a Sunday afternoon. There is Mojito Grill in South Miami. And, we've been getting ice cream delivered from Azucar through their Instagram page.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Local Pie. Last Sunday, I left your stand and went and bought two cauliflower pizzas. Another business is Phitness Lab. It's a small boutique gym and the owner has poured 13 years of his life into it. It's a great family environment. I like to support them.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We'll use Uber eats for PF Chang's or Diced. We'll order from A Brooklyn Pizza or Steve's Pizza. We just had the new pizza on 152nd last Friday. It was my wife's birthday and we had some people over and did the whole social distancing happy hour in my yard. Everyone brought their coolers and what they wanted to drink. Pizza was great. Everyone loved the pizza place when they were in the Grove (behind Johnny Rockets).
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We love Cafe Portofino. It's in the Marshals shopping center on 136th street. It's a nice Italian place and their food is always delicious and their service is great. I always get the Capellini Castegliano which is pasta with pink sauce and shrimp - and they know that. We also like to go to Sage by Chef's Kitchen, which is a great hole in the wall. The food is always delicious and Hector is great. Now, you can actually sit down and order. Maddie and I like to go there a lot. We also like A-Pizza Brooklyn. My son's favorite restaurant in the world is Five Guys, because he likes the burgers. We also like to stay home and cook. We like the new place, Fiola, in South Miami. It really pretty, quiet, and the food is really, really good. Their short rib ravioli is delicious.
Kiki And Marc
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Kiki does not love to go to restaurants very often because she cooks and we have too many great cooks in the family. However, when we do go out, we love LAN Pan Asian for Age tofu and fiery spinach, The Seven Dials for creative salads and fish and chips & yummy desserts, pizza from Apizza Brooklyn, and Ghee in Downtown Dadeland ( followed by dessert at Nanndi!)
Brittney + Kara
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Honestly, we're big fans of cooking at home. However, when we do venture out, we're loving some of the Downtown Dadeland spots like Brick, Barley and Ghee. The cauliflower mac n cheese at Brick will blow your mind.
