What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
We don't go out to eat much because I cook most of what we eat. But the one thing I don't ever make is Sushi. I like Obba Sushi off of Brickell. I also like Zuma, but usually when somebody else is paying. I work downtown and do sales for a living, so I get to eat out at restaurants and come home and share with everyone how amazing the food was. Capital Grille is always a pretty good staple. Whenever it's Miami Spice month, we like to try new places. Also - Le Petite Maison. I get their yellow tail carpaccio and the mixed mushroom gnocchi. It has black truffle. It is by far the best gnocchi I've ever had in Miami. It's only seasonal. They never rush you. They offer you fresh hot bread from the oven. It's just a pleasant experience.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
You know, we are kind of like creatures of old habit. One of our places we go to pretty often is Hillstone. We just kind of like the vibe and going there. On Saturday mornings, when we don't have soccer or other obligations, we'll ride our bikes to have breakfast at Green Street. We also love Strada in the Grove. That's one of our favorites. We love La Mar in the Mandarin Oriental. That's one of our favorites, especially sitting outside.

I pretty much try to stay in Coconut Grove. I really like the curry at Atchana, it's so delicious. And, Atchana herself is just a spitfire. And then, I really like Last Carrot for lunch and then either Lokal or Spillover. Jeffrey Kushner knows what he's doing - His food is delicious. And their happy hour - $1 oysters. Are you kidding me?

I really enjoy Whisk, with my husband, for a date night. We love Tropical Chinese. They've been around forever.

So many restaurants you go to, you don’t know who’s the chef that night. One day it’s good and another it’s different. My advice is find your local treasure, where you know the chef is the owner and they are there.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
Plant Food and Wine now has a new name – it’s a beautiful restaurant and all health foods. Horatio is the chef and they are great customers of ours. It’s so unique, I love everything. You must go there and see. They changed the management recently. The building owner took over and the staff and chef stayed. We went to Flemings last week for my wife’s birthday. It’s the only time I eat meat. I grew up eating steaks, now I get them once a birthday.

In South Miami – No Name Chinese has fantastic tastes. My Ceviche – it’s part of a chain but really good and fast. Old Lisbon for Portuguese food. And, Marhaba for Arabic food. For special occasions: In my district, we go to a wonderful Italian place called Alaine’s Osterilla on 168th and Old Cutler.

My favorite is definitely Ghee. We go there a lot. Their green millet is awesome and the sticky date cake. And, of course, Jackson Hall. My old standby is always a green bowl at Della Bowls.

Whisk. I've never tasted a pork chop that's so consistently perfectly cooked. Salvatore D. It's unexpected because they're in a strip mall and the food is amazing. The grilled octopus is my favorite. Sometimes they don't have it on the menu. But, if you ask for it, they'll make it for you.

In Pinecrest: Daily Bread, Cheese Course, Joanna’s. Brickell: River Oyster Bar, the new Fleming's and for French food, Le Petite Mason. We love Crust on Miami River. It is an Italian restaurant with great food. I get their angel hair pasta with olive oil and garlic, and an arugula salad. The portions are huge – so you have to share everything.
