What's Miami's best kept secret?
The Kampong. It was the house of David Fairchild, the person that created the Botanical gardens in Miami, and he created a mini botanical garden for his family. Now, it is open to the public but many people don’t know that it's there. You’ll only find a few people there at the same time, so it's like it's just open for you. You can have a picnic there, I like to go with the kids and sit by the water. Sometimes they have events. You better call first because sometimes they don't answer the door.
AIPIC, Cauley Square, Chabad in the Grove, Kampong, Keez Beez, Kyu, Mandolin, ...

La Minutera in Hialeah. It's just wonderful seafood. We always get the whole fried fish. They load you up with French fries and their really well-done rice. It's delicious.

The Barnacle. There are a lot of people that don't know about it. It's a two buck entrance fee and it's a real treasure. Ricky turns 80 on Saturday and we're having her birthday party there.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
The beautiful ecosystems we have both on land and on water. We've got the Everglades national park and we've got Biscayne national park. I would encourage everyone in this area to stray from the concrete jungle and go see these beautiful nature areas.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
The beaches other than Miami Beach. Crandon Park or Bill Bags Park. I think that the vitality of the mix of nationalities is probably the best kept secret. This is probably one of the greatest cities to be in.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
There's a lot of cool places to try things out and be creative. My kids took pottery classes at the ceramic league. They've been taking lessons at the school of rock. We moved here from New York where taking any class or activity required months of being on a wait list - It was ridiculous. Here, I find it much easier to explore, experiment and try new things.

Crandon Beach. Everyone talks about Miami Beach, Miami Beach, but Crandon is awesome, you can play volleyball and stuff like that. It's kind of the local's beach. I love that you can barbecue out there and have a good time. We usually go with the family and have some drinks.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
That's a good question. I like to discover and I like to think that I haven't found it. Because that way, it keeps me encouraged to continue searching for new local things.
