What's Miami's best kept secret?
Camp Owaissa Bauer. There are caves that you can climb in. My husband went camping this weekend and they went down to Homestead, and there are caves. I didn't even know that that existed. The boys had a really good time and they didn't have to drive too far.

On the ocean, it’s the boat wrecks in the bay and large county wrecks further out. They are filled with fish and most people don't get to ever see them. Check out some of the lists online. You will need to know the coordinates to get there. In Agriculture, the best secret are the people you meet in homestead. There are these guys who spend most of their lives on their farms and don't really have a public presence. They are talented growers who specialize in niche markets. I have gotten to meet them through my dad.

YOU are Miami's best kept secret! But, I will tell you one thing, Miami turns on a dime. Everybody knows everybody and to be a big city, we're very small. From the Redlands to South Beach, you have farming to spectacular oceans and views. We have a little bit of everything.

The American Airlines office on Ponce. There are only a couple in the United States and we have one. It's an old fashioned ticket counter. You walk in there with a problem and they fix it.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
So many people think of the beaches when they come to Miami and the beaches are beautiful and amazing, but I think the best kept secret is the Everglades. There's nothing like it in the entire world, and it's right here. You can experience something extraordinary. We have a friend, his name is Otter John, at Gator Park. It's really fun to go see him learn all about the animals and the Everglades and then take an airboat ride afterwards. The other place that we like to go is Shark Valley. We like to go biking around there.

I would say getting coconut water by the gallon or half at Palacio de los Jugos. Not a whole lot of people know about it. I’ll take them glass mason jars and they pour the coconut water right into them.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
Really, it's the Barnacle, which I know Skip mentioned too. That's where we had my birthday party last weekend. Most of the people that came to my party had never been to the Barnacle. Many have lived here all their lives and passed by the entrance a million times. They have live music on Friday nights, but it's restricted to 50 people. Bring a blanket or chairs and a picnic and enjoy it that way. They also have movie nights and yoga classes. You should definitely go.
