What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
I'm an American steak and potatoes guy and I like Italian too. Hillstone never disappoints - I still call it Houstons, and probably always will. The best sandwich is in Broward at Laspadas. It's worth the drive. They put all the ingredients first and then the meat goes on top.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
Food related - We don't go as often as we wish, but we love Le Bouchon in the Grove. And, A Pizza Brooklyn, the original location, not the one on Bird. And, we go to the farmer's market on Saturdays in Coral Reef park. Non food related: We like Casa Viera which is a small business owned by a husband and wife and they create one of a kind pieces out of wood.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
Plant Food and Wine now has a new name – it’s a beautiful restaurant and all health foods. Horatio is the chef and they are great customers of ours. It’s so unique, I love everything. You must go there and see. They changed the management recently. The building owner took over and the staff and chef stayed. We went to Flemings last week for my wife’s birthday. It’s the only time I eat meat. I grew up eating steaks, now I get them once a birthday.

For a pasta – in the new Brickell City Market there is a hand made pasta station. Their Bolognese is phenomenal. I really like the gator fingers at Lokal – owned by Matthew Kuscher. A new hidden gem is Shelly’s in South Miami. And on Tuesday, you can get their whole fish collar for $20.

We love Hillstone for everything. Naiyara for Thai food. Branko and I love Izakaya and Matsuri.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
I still find myself at the Bar at Michael’s Genuine occasionally. When they have it, I like the wood-oven roasted eggplant with tahini. When they have simple vegetable soups at lunch, I really enjoy it too- broth and veggies. Whisk Gourmet when I’m craving a 3-D, satisfying sandwich. Chef Brendan makes the best ones in town. He and his sister Kirsten are really special people, and that makes everything taste even better.

Eating House. Get the heirloom tomato and "coconut ice" salad, their beef tartare and never miss a "Dirt Cup" for dessert.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
We do a lot of walking around our neighborhood. Ben and I are in office buildings all day. So any opportunity to be together with our girls and be outdoors is our go-to. In the evenings and weekends, we do a lot of walking to restaurants in the neighborhood. We go to Sports Grill a lot. Mia Italia is down the street. In the mornings, we'll walk to Deli Lane. Before I moved back to Miami, I was living in New York. I think this area is about as close as you can get in Miami to feeling that energy and be able to just pop in somewhere. If we're doing take out or bringing home food, I love Havana Harry's and Flanagan's. I'm a pescatarian, so we eat a lot of Mediterranean food. When we go out to eat, Mandolin is one of my favorites. If we're going a little nicer, we'll go to some Michael Schwartz places.

Seasons 52. They always have stuff I can eat there. And Matsuri for Japanese - I avoid the rice and get sashimi and vegetable soup. They have a great conch that's sautéed with what seems to be green beans or maybe it's cactus.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
My favorite restaurant was a Vietnamese place called Hy Vong. Unfortunately, they closed. They do some popups now and at some farmer’s markets. We go to places nearby - Whisk, Titanic and Matsuri.
