Experiences and travel. And one which I guess is a little less conventional is good sun protection. Its hard to come by, but definitely worthy of a splurge.

We go to Orlando a lot for their running events. We'll take a weekend and go to go to Disney. Last summer, we met our family in Italy. Taking a couple of weeks for vacation is worth it.

A good bottle of wine. We went on a trip to South Africa and enjoyed some really nice wines that you cannot get in the US. So, once in a while we'll we'll order some to be shipped.

It's a splurge of time. Drive out to the end of Bill Bags Park, walk around or bike around. Spending the whole day there.

A night out with my husband. It doesn't have to be anywhere fancy. Anywhere we can spend time together.

I love to travel, and I consider that a big splurge because flying's awful for climate change. I've started offsetting my flights. There are great companies now to offset your flights.

A worthy splurge is something that is nourishing. Self care can be $0 with a yoga practice, or a fun new outfit to boost your spirit.

Heirloom seeds for the vegetable garden. I recently bought several dozen packets of unfamiliar vegetables and beans to experiment with in my backyard garden. I ordered them from rareseeds.com which I learned about through the Mother Earth news website.

A spa day at The Standard Hotel. I'm dreaming of their hammam at this very moment. And coffee.

The Biltmore and anything sushi. I've tried to make it but I can't get the rice just right.
