Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I'm on the board of the Sebastian Strong foundation. Sebastian was a kid that passed away from cancer about three years ago. The organization was started by his parents and they are making an effort to raise funds for new treatments for pediatric cancer.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I support the LGBTQ community as best I can. I support any animal community. With our dogs, we often volunteer at hospitals and nursing homes to bring a little bit of a smile and compassion. Actually, our dogs do most of it. It's wonderful to see the reaction that elderly or infirmed people have to a dog that's wagging its tail and licking your hand.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
The Mango Festival is coming up in July at Fairchild. It’s always nice to go to, but it’s really hot. They also have a downtown market called the Flea that is a lot of fun.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
The Dolphins Cancer Challenge just passed. It's a bike ride and you join up and get donations. They have multiple rides, there's one for everyone and afterwards it's a good time to get together. I did the 15 mile ride with my kids.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
Beth Am and Nicholas Children's. Beth Am is our community. Our kids go to school there and we attend the synagogue. I sit on the board of the school. We spend a lot of time there.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I am a cancer survivor and very involved with the American Cancer Society’s East Kendall Relay for Life. It is taking place, March 10, in front of Baptist Hospital. It’s a huge event that we fundraise for all year. The big event takes place 12 noon – 9 pm. There are about 70 different tents set up around the lake with food, activities, music, and things for kids. We have raised a lot each year and it’s a lot of fun.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
All the things are at the Barnacle in Coconut Grove; anything that happens there is worth promoting. Paint Me Miami, is a competition for painters within the city of Miami on August 9th. There are scholarships of prize money and you can go online to apply. But, the Barnacle is really a hidden treasure within the Grove.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
The University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center. Since I was a teenager, I have been part of that organization. I used to raise a lot of money for their breast cancer research foundations. That would be the place that is near and dear to my heart. They do a great job of recruiting amazing talent from around the world. We should all be grateful that we have them in our backyard.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
There are a few Dachshund meetups around Miami, but most are now canceled because of the corona virus. I have a Dachshund and follow an account called Dachshunds of Miami. They have weekly events for dog meetups and it's cool.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
Not a philanthropic group, but through the State of Florida, we'll donate dental services. They'll send us a couple of cases and we help out. And, there's some dentists in town that actually refer patients that don't have any means, and if we don't help, they'll just end up back in the hospital. So we'll treat them in the office and get it done.
