Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I'm a part of the MOP Palmetto Bay group. It's a mom group of like-minded women that are similar in age. They subdivide us into smaller groups and each group has a mentor. We get together biweekly and for monthly events. They're all over all over Miami, but I'm a part of the Palmetto Bay group.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I'm real big on the environment and just trying to keep the bay waters clean and protect the critters around here and push back on some of the zero-line building. I don't think I do enough to help, but certainly the Pelican Rescue, and Guitars over Guns on the civic and the youth side. We've gotten involved with the Audubon Society. Anything that protects the environment and improves our landscape other than concrete buildings.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We do a lot with United Way. Kim's very involved. We think they do a phenomenal job evaluating and dispersing money within the community. Previously, I've been on community impact councils, which are subcommittees established with members of the community to score and evaluate the different nonprofits that they fund. You go through a training process to understand the rubric and grading system. You get to interview the CEO and CFO and visit the organizations and it's interesting. Another one is Big brothers, Big sisters. We both, at one point in time, were a big brother and big sister for kids in the program. I think they're doing an excellent job with mentorship for kids in the community.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
The Farber Law Firm is thrilled to be a Featured Sponsor of the upcoming LIVE ULTIMATE SEED FOOD & WINE 5K RUN. Hosted by NBA legend Ray Allen on Saturday November 4th in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami, 100% of proceeds will be donated to Jennifer Lopez's charity Somos Una Voz, a charity formed by an alliance of artists focused on rushing much needed aid to those affected by recent Hurricanes. The event will also be held in conjunction with the Seed Food & Wine Week at Mana Wynwood Convention Center.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We like the WOW Center. They help adults specifically with special needs, to get reintegrated into the community. They help with job training and other opportunities that they wouldn't normally have. It's a little close to home too, because one of my uncles has down syndrome and he does a lot of stuff with them.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I go to a lot of workshops at the Sacred Space. It’s a community. I feel like there's such a power when people come together and support each other. It's more than just a yoga studio. Last week, there was somebody that taught about human design, which is about your authentic code.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
It goes with the family business - The Live like Jake Foundation, in Palm Beach, educates the community about the risk of drowning, and they provide scholarships for survival and swimming lessons. Kerry Morrison started the foundation after her son Jake died from drowning. Her strength just blows me away and they've helped so many people through the work their foundation does.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
There's Love the Everglades. I went to one of their Everglades cleanups and I really I loved it. It was on the side of the road, right by the casino. You might think, we're not in the deep of the Everglades. But that's not where the litter is. The litter's gonna be on the side of the road that ends up in the waterways and that gets transferred into the Everglades and into our water. It's really sad, the amount of litter we found that day.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I'm currently president elect for Crew, which stands for Commercial Real Estate Women and our philanthropic arm is the Women's Fund. We raise money annually to help support causes that are important to women in Miami. It's very near and dear. I was raised by a single mom and as a woman growing up in the United States, our lives are very different than others around the world. To be able to give back and do something so that women understand that they have a chance, they have opportunity and purpose. There's so many women out there that don't see a future for themselves. Being a woman, it's important to give back and to make sure that other women have a path forward. It's something I want to teach my daughter and my nieces. We must remember that we have to support each other.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We are members of Fairchild Tropical Garden, which going back to your question about best kept secrets of Miami, is certainly one of them. I would encourage anybody who lives in Miami-Dade county to get a membership and support them. Also, The Lotus House. They are a shelter and support system for abused women and children.
