We go to a lot of family friendly restaurants around Pinecrest. The kids love the margarita pizza at Piola. I get the lasagna; it's heavy but delicious. We also go to Flanagan's, which is probably the most kid-friendly restaurant in Miami.
Amara, Fairchild Tropical Garden, Flanagan's, Piolas, Red Fish Grill, Trattoria Luna

In South Miami – No Name Chinese has fantastic tastes. My Ceviche – it’s part of a chain but really good and fast. Old Lisbon for Portuguese food. And, Marhaba for Arabic food. For special occasions: In my district, we go to a wonderful Italian place called Alaine’s Osterilla on 168th and Old Cutler.

When we come down and visit you guys, we usually always go to the Little River Cooperative farm. It's an awesome farm for any local gardeners. They have very good plants and they are very helpful people. They also have classes and different things that they offer. We also go to Jack Lyon nursery.

We're so spoiled in Coral Gables and South Miami. The Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove just opened up a new restaurant called Isabelle's - It's fantastic. Doc B's is a new restaurant, sort of like Hillstone's, that is good and close by. They have an angry meatball that is delicious. And, Bombay Darbar or Strada in the Grove. I've recently started going back to Christie's steakhouse, which is ironic because of course that's where I grew up going for special occasions. It's so special to walk in there and it's so familiar. The service is great. The food is great.

I am a big fan of vegetarian and vegan cuisines. There's Vegan Cuban bakery in Kendall. It sounds like an oxymoron, but their vegan croquetas are a magical thing. I love Indian food. They probably get plenty of publicity already, but Bombay Darbar in Coconut Grove. There's a really great Thai spot off eighth street in Little Havana, called Lung Yai. It's a tiny little spot, it's always packed, and they have quality food.

My kids are currently hooked on Pub Belly Sushi. They like to get the corn, edamame and the butter crab roll. My wife's birthday is coming up. We're going to Zuma for brunch. Definitely take Uber or Lyft because it's endless drinks.

There is a little place called Java and Juice on 151st and Biscayne. We don't go out much now, but we like the energy there. I know the guy who owns the restaurant and he's a very conscious person. It's really a little hole in the wall, but we like it.
