Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
I've always been a follower of the Salvation Army. Also Emily's list. To help the ACLU is automatic. They are down on all the things that are unjust. And, everything that has to do with eyes because of my vision problems.
Andrew And Ellie
Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
Ellie: We go up to New York City in March each year to support my best friend, Katy and her husband Greg, for the “Love Rocks NYC” event. The concert helps raise money for the charity “God’s Love We Deliver” which delivers meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Each year, they throw a benefit concert at the Beacon to raise money for this organization. They have a lot of celebrity involvement and it’s a wonderful organization. Andy: With my firm, I participate in an attorney basketball tournament each year that raises money for the Overtown Youth Center. They are a positive influence on our community.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We are members of Temple Judea and love the community there. We joined four or five years ago when we moved to Coral Gables. Not only for our kids, but for us, in our adult years it's often difficult to meet new friends. We've been able to meet a nice group of people.

My husband and I are big sailors so we support two yacht clubs. My father was a founding member of the Coral Reef Yacht Club. The other area that I would like to get involved in is the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center.

My father-in-law passed away from ALS. There's an organization in Palm Beach, Clinics Can Help, and they collect used medical equipment when somebody passes away from ALS and make sure that it gets to somebody else in need.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
The Harriet Tubman Effect is a community that started in New York, but now It's virtual for people like me that wanna just jump in and listen to their conversations. They are all about reallocating wealth and resources into small businesses and organizations, by means of including diversity, equity and inclusiveness, and curriculum planting. For example, they would get contracted from a school who would ask them to evaluate their curriculum for a theater class. For example. Is it diverse enough? Is it inclusive of all student learners? If not, how can we get there? Then we engage in conversation about what a more diverse and equal curriculum would look like for this school.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We are both tied to JAFCO. It’s the Jewish foster care and adoption facility – the only one of its kind in the United States. I think they do amazing work for families. They have a holistic approach and continue to support children through the age of 21. They help with their college, they help them get cars, they also support families with children with disabilities. We are also involved with Chai Lifeline – which organizes fundraising, programs, activities and events to support families with children battling cancer. And, we support anything to do with MS and American Cancer Society

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
We're fairly new and have not gotten formally involved in a lot of things yet, but William and Martina are into nature Conservancy and the bird sanctuary. We're going to look into joining those kinds of organizations and doing some activities to help animals in need and possibly helping clean up the beach.

Are there any community events or groups that are important to you and your family?
On February 22nd, we're having the first ever great Coral Gables scavenger hunt. It's starting at the Coral Gables museum around noon. You'll meet at the museum, get your clues, head out across the city with your crew or by yourself, fill out your sheet, get all your answers, and come back to the museum. We'll have some libations and some prizes and it's going to be a lot of fun.

Two groups that I worked a lot with it as a case manager that I really enjoyed are The Miami Bridge, and, Kristi House.
