What's Miami's best kept secret?
I just think Miami's wonderful. Yes, there's problems, but there's these delightful pockets of joy and fun and surprise and whimsy and things that make living here enjoyable for me.

I wonder how often people really go to Fairchild. You know, people talk about it, but I'm not sure that many people go as often as we all should. I like to like pack a lunch and just go in there and sit and read and eat. It's like you're not in Miami anymore.

Hate Mondays Tavern, which is this barbecue place here in Kendall in an industrial area. You'd never find it if you don't know about it. It's just some of the best barbecue I've ever had. It's amazing.

I think so many people still don't visit Fairchild Garden. It was one of my grandparent's favorite places. My grandfather's ashes are actually spread out there.

It's probably not a secret anymore, but I just discovered it - Aguacate in West Miami, close to Kendall hospital. It's a vegan sanctuary. They have a little farm. There are some animals and they have amazing food and they have yoga sessions as well.

What's Miami's best kept secret?
It's not necessarily the Beaches or anything like that. It's what the locals do, whether going to a Cuban ventanita and grabbing a Cuban coffee or going to your market stand and picking up a Rainbow Smoothie. Because of the different cultures here, there's such an ability to engage in the local community and mix with a broad swath of people, that's Miami's best kept secret.

I feel like West Kendall is the best kept secret! I swear, I tell everyone about your grove stand. The area has some amazing businesses. My kids grew up going to Reach for the Arts, which is an art program near you. And my kids originally learned to swim at Ocaquatics. There this little group of West Kendall businesses that have been instrumental in my life and my kids' life. And now you guys, we go every weekend!

I’m a water kid – so I just love the water. My girl and I love to go to Matheson Hammock. We’ll bring a comforter, our sheltie – Bella, and hang out by the water. It makes for a nice morning or evening.
