What keeps you busy during the week?
I work for a company called The Farmer's Dog and we do fresh food for dogs. It's a subscription service. They send it to your house and it's all human grade, so you can eat it. I've literally had dog food empanadas. I do quality assurance for them. When you call into a company and talk to somebody, I'm the person that's listening to the call or double checking to make sure everything is the way it should be.

What keeps you busy during the week?
We are a sport-specific and movement-specific training company. I work to enhance the bio-mechanics of athletes. For example, I did the preseason training for the Palmetto football team this summer and last summer to work on their movements on the field. I work with tennis players on reaction time. Our method is broken down to the science behind each sport.

What keeps you busy during the week?
I started my business in 1975 out of a two-bedroom apartment in Coconut Grove. One bedroom was my business and one my bedroom. Things haven't changed a whole lot. I've been working out of my house ever since. I am a graphic designer, and I've worked for just about every major place in Miami. I've been very lucky and I do a lot of corporate design work. I also get to do a lot of work for Fairchild Tropical Garden. One thing that I am doing a lot of now are magazines. I do the Ransom Everglades biannual magazine and also have done Bascom Palmer's magazine since 2002.

Alex: My background is in finance, but right now I’m focused on real estate and I started a company last year called Sky 18 Capital. We specialize in private loans for commercial real estate.

What keeps you busy during the week?
I am the sushi chef at Itamae, a family-owned restaurant. We specialize in Peruvian Japanese food. I oversee pretty much the operation from the kitchen to the outside. Our service director, Shannon, is the front of the house manager and really our service director. We haven't been able to hire other managers, so right now she's doing everything. She's a superhero. In the back we have two Chef de cuisines. The four of us really run Itamae.
