We enjoy a lot of them. Recently, we went to Balloo. I really love Caribbean food and they're doing it so cool. It's real small and they don't take reservations, but the food is top-notch and exciting. They had big a pickled slab of chayote squash with this delicious sweet and spicy chutney. I'm fascinated by and have always wanted to grow chayote. I like to see it on a menu sort of showcased like that. We always make our way out to 27 and Mandolin is always one of our favorites. Boia De is really nice, that's sort of near us. Then there are a couple Mexican places down in Homestead that are good. They're almost all in gas stations. 5 Hermanos on 272 and Krome. It's a food truck at a gas station with a couple of tents.

Oh my God. I love this section. I've gone back and read past issues. For acupuncture and chiropractic work, NSEV Healing. healing. They also do Chinese herbs. Then, there's Focused Movement Academy. For food and drinks: Sylvester, the bar, is really fun. Wabi-Sabi by Shuji doesn’t really have a good sign, but they exist and they're always busy. They do an omakase that's good. If you really want to splurge, one final recommendation is called Hiden. It's a hole in the wall in a taco stand. You type in a code, the door slides open and it only seats 10 people.

For clothing, there's a small boutique near Pinecrest that's wonderful, called Indigo Republic. I love going there with Aly and just getting a few things. As far as restaurants, Guadalajara is a Mexican spot that's family owned that we enjoy. We also like Anacapri, the Italian spot. Those are our go-to places.

People always ask us and it's a tough one. Boia De for sure. It's such a memorable experience because they actually care. The servers take time to know you and they're not trying to just pump you through. That was the last restaurant we ate at. We like getting takeout from Lobster Shack, south of fifth. One of our perfect afternoons is getting lobster roll takeouts, bringing a bottle of wine, and going to sit in the park with the kids. And, Michael's Genuine is always a crowd pleaser for us.

My favorite Mexican place – anywhere I’ve ever been! It’s down in Florida City, across from the Cracker Barrel. It’s a taco stand called Rosita’s. It’s the best Mexican, hands down, you will ever eat. There are only a few things on the menu. I just point to order and you can’t go wrong. I also love the Asian Thai Kitchen inside the Quickie Mart on Grand Avenue in the Grove. $11 for Pad Thai – no question.  So good.

Steve and I have been going down, on Sunday afternoon around three o'clock, to Key Largo and watching the sunset at the Marriott, and eating dinner outside on one of the outdoor patios. We've been eating at Snook's a lot. You're far from everybody and it feels very safe. It's all outside, right on the water. That's a really great thing to do.

When we get to go out again, I look forward to Lan Pan Asian. I love Kazu and Johnson and I hope that we can have avocados again for them. They've been using our produce for several years. Around the corner from our house is Hole in the Wall. They have a great blackened dolphin sandwich with a really decent portion of mahi. And, great French fries - ask for them extra crispy.
