What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
My daughter has an egg allergy, so that dictates a lot of our food choices. We found this place that's completely vegan call Aguacate, just south of Bird road and West of Kendall Regional. It's definitely worth checking out. They have like a coffee and tea bar, and smoothies and bowls. Everything is completely plant based. They won't even take honey from the bees there.

That's tricky for me. I cook my own food. That was a decision I made about five years ago. That way, I know what I'm putting in my body. You can go somewhere and they'll say something on the menu and then all of the sudden it's something else. When I eat out, maybe I'll have lunch at the Last Carrot in Coconut Grove. I trust the food there.

We travel up and down Krome Avenue a lot. So, we like to frequent the nurseries and the natural fruit stands around that area. I like the Last Carrot in Coconut Grove. I've been going there since I was a teenager. It's funny that question brought me to realize how long I've been here at home and not going anywhere.

Mostly eat at home. My wife and I love to cook. When we go out, a favorite spot is Sakura Japanese - off of US 1 and Chapman Field -124th St.

Flannigan’s is very important. And, the Tutti Frutti ice cream next door. We love the ribs at Flannigan's. Also, A Pizza Brooklyn.

Plant Food and Wine now has a new name – it’s a beautiful restaurant and all health foods. Horatio is the chef and they are great customers of ours. It’s so unique, I love everything. You must go there and see. They changed the management recently. The building owner took over and the staff and chef stayed. We went to Flemings last week for my wife’s birthday. It’s the only time I eat meat. I grew up eating steaks, now I get them once a birthday.

We eat out a lot. My daughter has declared herself a foodie. We like exposing her to as many flavors as possible and we don’t subscribe to the idea of taking her to restaurants that cater to children. We really want her to eat what we eat. We like the St Roche Market because you don't have to eat at the same place every time and they've got that great bar in the middle and there's a lot of healthy options. We like Seasons 52 in the Gables, Matsuri on Bird Road and Dragonfly in Doral. For a date night, my husband and I really like Byblos and Planta on the Beach - the creativity that goes into their Vegan menu is incredible.

There are so many places. Right now, we go to Bulla in the gables – it’s tapas and we get all types of different things there. There’s a restaurant on the Miami River that we like, called Crust. It’s Italian – Harvey likes their octopus salad a lot. And, their service is amazing - it’s a husband and wife team.

I love Bangkok City on Bird Road - it is a tiny sushi restaurant. It's a small family restaurant and I always feel welcome there and they have such great sushi. I support Brewing Buddha cafe, the art house coffee shop. The owners are wonderful. I've actually run into them at the farmer's market before. Supporting small businesses seems more important now than ever.
