What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
I really like Stubborn Seed, south of fifth. I like Lilikoi, also south of fifth. Everything's organic, I really appreciate that. We do like to try new restaurants. My husband used to have a restaurant, so he loves going out to dinner and trying new things and he's in real estate and brokers restaurant and retail deals. He's always in the know and has to check out new places that pop up. I'm usually his sidekick. Also, Plant Food and Wine at the Sacred Space- I Love, love, love what they're doing over there.

Plant Food and Wine now has a new name – it’s a beautiful restaurant and all health foods. Horatio is the chef and they are great customers of ours. It’s so unique, I love everything. You must go there and see. They changed the management recently. The building owner took over and the staff and chef stayed. We went to Flemings last week for my wife’s birthday. It’s the only time I eat meat. I grew up eating steaks, now I get them once a birthday.

Right now, we're on our way to meet some friends at Timeout Market in Miami Beach. Martina is vegan, so we try to find vegan places. We like the Mexican place in Wynwood, Bakan. If we're on South Beach, I go to the cafeteria at Joe's and get some stone crabs, just to take advantage of the local seafood here. William likes Harry's in the Grove.

Papa's Rawbar, Farmer's Table, Charm City Burgers, and Whales Rib.

My number one is LeBouchon in the Grove. And then we like all the Kush restaurants, but I especially like Spillover. The crab cakes are my favorite. Of course we're pretty much regulars at the Hole in the Wall here on 144th. Try their tuna appetizer.

Not surprisingly, I’m interested in Indian food. One of my favorites is on South Dixie – called Saffron. I’ve eaten Indian food all over the world, and they have some of the best I’ve ever had. I get the paneer makhani – fried cheese with spicy sauce, malai kofta – dumpling with Indian cheese, chickpea flour and gravy. They adjust the spice level to your taste. There’s also a great appetizer with baby spinach leaves, coated in chickpea flour and fried. Another recommendation, if you need quick and cheap Indian food, there’s a place called Bollywood Masala – near the quick stop on Red Road. I get the Dal and Sambar soup. Sometimes they have fresh dosas. It’s a good deal. One dosa is really big and my wife and I can split it for a meal. They have some tables, but it’s mostly take out.

I really enjoy Whisk, with my husband, for a date night. We love Tropical Chinese. They've been around forever.

Blue Collar. Pho Tang and Caribbean Delite – their vegetarian chickpea and potato roti and the chicken curry paratha are really good.
