What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? It's one of our favorite questions, and one of the reasons why I read your newsletters. Although we haven't been to restaurants forever, my oldest really likes Los Ranchos at the Falls. Also Sapore Di Mare in the Grove. It's a tiny restaurant, and sometime we'll pick it up and bring it home. We've been very cautious and avoiding crowds. So, we go a lot to outside places. We go to Matheson Hammock and Fairchild, and Coral Reef Park a lot.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?27 is one of my favorites in Miami. Their roasted cauliflower with pesto is knock your socks off delicious. The sous chef is a young Cuban American like me and he's always embracing South Florida flavors and ingredients that we have here. They actually have their own garden there. The house smoked lamb ribs with pomegranate molasses are delicious. Also, Madruga Bakery. They feel like a farm to table a bakery. They have this amazing guava and cream cheese croissant. But - Babes Meat and Counter is my number one go to spot here in South Florida. My favorite thing on their menu right now is the Italian roast pork sandwich which features some callaloo greens from Margie (at Bee Heaven). It’s like a French dip sandwich, but with fantastic, roasted pork, shaved super thin. It’s served with a provolone cheese and on Sullivan Street bread.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Seasons 52. They always have stuff I can eat there. And Matsuri for Japanese - I avoid the rice and get sashimi and vegetable soup. They have a great conch that's sautéed with what seems to be green beans or maybe it's cactus.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We love, Ghee. But, our go to is LAN. They are under Target near Dadeland. It's quick, with easy parking and my girls are vegetarians and it's easy for them to find food they love. It's easy for the rest of us too, who are not vegetarians. Ghee is good for a special occasion. I also like Seasons 52. I know it's a big chain, but it has a nice feeling. There's a middle eastern place in the Royal Palm Hotel, at the end of Lincoln road, called Byblos that transported me. We went for Miami Spice.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Mandolin! We love to order the octopus. They marinate it overnight and it is super tender and flavorful. For those looking for a good place to get a drink after a dinner at Mandolin, check out Lagniappe down the street.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We take out fish from Captains Tavern. We've been going there for decades. We'll get take out from the Daily Bread. And, the kids are big fans of Power Pizza. They like plain cheese pizza and Harlow loves garlic bread. They make a high protein dough.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Right in our same warehouse, a few doors down is an insanely great barbecue place called Hate Monday's Tavern. Their stuff is amazing - from briskets to Tomahawk steaks and smoked salmon. He has a big smoker right outside the front door. They come by and we'll do some wine tastings with them as well. I'm also a huge microbrewery beer fan. There's a great local warehouse brewery called Unseen Creatures. I love their styles, because they're very old school. They have a lot of farmhouse Saisons and lagers and then their IPAs are super delicious and clean. Also - The Eating House in Coral Gables is really good.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We love the Primavera Risotto from A Pizza Brooklyn (their Tiramisu is also on point), Shrimp tacos from The Brick Restaurant and from Whisk the fried green tomatoes, pork burrito and crab fried rice!
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? My kids love LAN Pan Asian. My son gets shrimp dumplings and the chicken flat noodles. My daughter gets the chicken katsu and edamame. I usually get Sushi. If I had to pick like my favorite place to go right now it would be Ghee. I like to go for lunch. They have a set lunch, with only two options. It's nice because it makes you try different things. It’s a super price as well, I think it’s $11 dollars.
