What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? My number one is LeBouchon in the Grove. And then we like all the Kush restaurants, but I especially like Spillover. The crab cakes are my favorite. Of course we're pretty much regulars at the Hole in the Wall here on 144th. Try their tuna appetizer.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? My favorite in South Miami is Whisk for the crispy brussels sprouts, fried green tomatoes, bacon wrapped dates, the burritos, the barbecue chicken salad, pretty much everything there is good. Joanna's marketplace is our go- to breakfast, cold brew and lunch sandwich spot. And, we've started going to Raw South.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Fish House on Miller. The first time I went there, I was like 'what in the world, this is so strange and the decor!' But, I love it. I've never had anything that was bad. They have live music on the weekends. Another great place that we go for a treat is, Vicky's milkshake bar. It's in the Grove.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Club Space is my jam. It's right by Bicentennial. They have great after-hours parties and a nice crowd. It's a place that I can go and get lost in the music. Sometimes they have parties that go for two days and have DJs coming from around the world. I also love Churchills. It's their 40th anniversary on Saturday.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? There are so many places. Right now, we go to Bulla in the gables – it’s tapas and we get all types of different things there. There’s a restaurant on the Miami River that we like, called Crust. It’s Italian – Harvey likes their octopus salad a lot. And, their service is amazing - it’s a husband and wife team.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We haven't gone anywhere this year, but in South Miami we like Pastis, which is a little French restaurant. There's a good pizza place on Sunset called Spritz. Whisk is a nice hidden restaurant next to Ace Hardware. And Red Fish Grill is very good and has a lovely water view.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?I love St Roch Food Hall in the Design District. I love Vietnamese noodle soup, and there's a stand with great pho and bahn mi sandwiches. And then, there's an Israeli street food place across the way from them that has this great whole roasted cauliflower with amazing dipping sauces. And then, there is another seafood place there with a fantastic mahi-mahi sandwich with shaved fennel. One of my favorites is Michael's Genuine. It's old school, but so far I haven't found anything to replace it. Michael is a really nice guy. They also have a roasted cauliflower dish with a parsley sauce that is amazing.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? My favorite Mexican place – anywhere I’ve ever been! It’s down in Florida City, across from the Cracker Barrel. It’s a taco stand called Rosita’s. It’s the best Mexican, hands down, you will ever eat. There are only a few things on the menu. I just point to order and you can’t go wrong. I also love the Asian Thai Kitchen inside the Quickie Mart on Grand Avenue in the Grove. $11 for Pad Thai – no question. So good.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?I am a big fan of vegetarian and vegan cuisines. There's Vegan Cuban bakery in Kendall. It sounds like an oxymoron, but their vegan croquetas are a magical thing. I love Indian food. They probably get plenty of publicity already, but Bombay Darbar in Coconut Grove. There's a really great Thai spot off eighth street in Little Havana, called Lung Yai. It's a tiny little spot, it's always packed, and they have quality food.
