What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? There's one place on the beach called 'Under the Mango Tree.' It's predominantly organic. They have Acai bowls, smoothies, and empanadas. There's another place in Midtown called Thatch that's 100% plant based and and really good. In Wynwood, there's a place called Love Life Cafe. It's also a 10 out of 10 recommend.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? There is a little place called Java and Juice on 151st and Biscayne. We don't go out much now, but we like the energy there. I know the guy who owns the restaurant and he's a very conscious person. It's really a little hole in the wall, but we like it.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We have been really in our bubble. Since Jacob started working with Grove Bay hospitality we have been to a lot of their restaurants and they are really great and family friendly. We are always up for trying some ice cream...so Whip and Dip or the Chill-N in South Miami. Recently we went to Stubborn Seed on Miami beach, which was so fantastic.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Since the pandemic, we have not really eaten out that much. I love Two Chefs in South Miami. I like the Cheese Course in Pinecrest for lunch. Both are absolutely wonderful. The café at Nordstrom's is very good. And, Alaine's Osteria, on 168th, is fabulous Italian.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?I can speak about breweries. When I first moved to Miami, Lincoln's Beard had this thing called recess, which was meant for parents of young children to come and hang out and have beers. It's a super good vibe, really mellow place. After that, Unseen Creatures, which is in the same area. They're focused on almost terroir level yeasts and other things to produce their beers. It's just spectacular and I totally love their stuff. The other one would be Tripping Animals. It's a little further afield. I will take a pilgrimage, at least once a week to one of these, to buy our stock of beer.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?Truthfully, we don't like going to restaurants. I like the farmer's market because I like supporting local farmers and buying fruits and vegetables to cook with during the week. We make a lot of vegetables, salads, and greens. My husband and Hannah are also bread bakers.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We're members of the Coconut Grove Sailing Club and there's a restaurant there and it's so beautiful that it wouldn't even matter what food they were serving just to be there and looking out over the water is lovely. We have a little sailboat there. That's really nice.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? We haven't gone anywhere this year, but in South Miami we like Pastis, which is a little French restaurant. There's a good pizza place on Sunset called Spritz. Whisk is a nice hidden restaurant next to Ace Hardware. And Red Fish Grill is very good and has a lovely water view.
What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend? For clothing, there's a small boutique near Pinecrest that's wonderful, called Indigo Republic. I love going there with Aly and just getting a few things. As far as restaurants, Guadalajara is a Mexican spot that's family owned that we enjoy. We also like Anacapri, the Italian spot. Those are our go-to places.
